Next Steps!
Thank you for applying to the 2022 - 23 Multimedia Program
Training Description:
Our ‘Intense One Day Multimedia Training’ is designed around the Furr High School’s Portrait of a Graduate and practices every single one of its pillars.
The training is meant for students to feel pressure to a new setting, new people and deliverables (Adaptable & Productive) while at the same time thinking critically (Critical Thinker) on how best to capture some of the environmental issues we will witness throughout the day. During the training, we also look forward to engaging in meaningful conversations about social and environmental justice issues in their communities (A Skilled Communicator). We want to know what are some of the things that can be done now that the student received the training (A Responsible Decision Maker).
Throughout this whole experience, students are challenged to learn a new video editing platform, new vocabulary, and unmasking some of the chemical toxins that communities of color are being exposed to daily (College-Ready Learner).
Overall, we want to see how the student will take initiative to tackle some of these issues with what they have learned throughout their training.
Their final project of the day will be a short 2-3 minutes long montage that will showcase an EJ site. It must have the following message and requirements.
